The Philippines continues to relax entry requirements. As of this week, holidaymakers who have received at least one booster vaccination no longer have to submit an additional negative test before departure.
This means that fully vaccinated travelers are no longer required to present a negative corona test upon arrival. However, the island nation only recognizes people aged 18 and over as fully vaccinated if they have received at least one booster vaccination in addition to the basic vaccination schedule. Two doses of vaccine are sufficient for young people between the ages of twelve and 17; children under the age of twelve only need to be accompanied by fully vaccinated adults. In addition, those entering the country no longer have to provide proof of travel insurance.
Foreign tourists without or with incomplete corona vaccination protection have so far not been allowed to enter the Philippines. This ban was lifted in the course of the last easing, in future the same regulation will apply to these people as to unvaccinated locals. This means that a PCR test no more than 48 hours old or a rapid antigen test no more than 24 hours old must be presented before departure. Travelers who are not fully vaccinated must also isolate themselves in a quarantine facility for the first five days after arrival before a PCR test is carried out. The quarantine must then be continued in domestic isolation until the 14th day after entry. That reports check 24
