The Waldviertelbahn and the Reblaus Express start the new season on May 1, 2024. Guests can expect a diverse mix of culinary, historical and entertaining program items on both tracks.

The season ticket early bird discount (minus 50 percent) is valid for both cable cars until May 31st. “Our Waldviertelbahn and the Reblaus Express offer our compatriots many attractive excursion options. For families, sports enthusiasts and railway lovers, the two railways are a comfortable and safe way to enjoy their free time and discover Lower Austria. We are looking forward to a great start to the season,” informs LH deputy Udo Landbauer.

The Waldviertelbahn is one of the most popular narrow-gauge railways in Lower Austria. It runs from Gmünd either to Litschau or Groß Gerungs and opens up numerous excursion destinations along the over 120-year-old railway line. “In addition to the culinary and animal offerings, new themed trains such as the wizard train and the hammersmith train are starting. Also new is an exclusive combination offer with a guided tour of Litschau Castle, which is otherwise not open to the public. Of course, the Waldviertelbahn's popular Jausenwagerl shouldn't be missed either. Taking bicycles is free of charge, but parking spaces on the train must be reserved,” adds Barbara Komarek, Managing Director of Niederösterreich Bahnen.
