Pobeda: Max-200 or A321neo instead of B737-Max-8

Pobeda: Max-200 or A321neo instead of B737-Max-8

The Russian low-cost airline Pobeda has finally canceled the Boeing 737 Max 8 order. According to their own statements, they did not have to pay any contractual penalty to Boeing. At the same time they are negotiating with the Americans about the Max 200.

Company boss Andrei Kalmykov confirmed that Pobeda could get out of the supply contract for the Boeing 737 Max 8 without penalties. At the same time they are negotiating with Boeing about the special low-cost carrier model Max 200. This has so far only been ordered by the Ryanair Group and VietJetAir. The manufacturer also has 40 copies in the books, but no customer has yet been published. In theory it could be Pobeda, but there is no explanation or confirmation for this.

For Boeing, the fact that the Aeroflot subsidiary will actually order the model is by no means in the towel, because Pobeda has also had an eye on the Airbus A321neo. They make no secret of this and negotiate with the European aircraft manufacturer as well. Russian models like the MS-21 are in view, but the lowcoster seems to want to fly Boeing or Airbus.
