The Polish government will provide the state-owned LOT with 230 million euros in the short term. The money is to be brought in through a capital increase. Local media report that a loan of 400 million euros is to be granted in a further step.

The bottom line is that LOT should receive 630 million euros before the end of the year. The government has already given the green light, but the EU Commission has not yet approved. At the Polish Star Alliance member, the number of passengers carried has plummeted. Due to the corona, there will be a maximum of two million travelers this year. In the previous year there were still 12 million passengers.

I would have the 400 euros in the headline in my wallet and could provide it as a loan.

Thanks for the hint. I forgot the word “millions”. Has already been corrected.
