The Portuguese government is pulling the handbrake: A new decree is now supposed to put a stop to tourist travel over the Easter holidays.
Due to the dynamic situation all around mutated virus variants and Covid-19, Portugal is now tightening the existing immigration policies temporarily. According to this, tourist trips between April 1 and April 15, for the time being, would be completely prohibited, reported Reisetopia.de. With this new regulation, only "essential entries" will be tolerated in the next two weeks. This should also prevent a new lockdown and not threaten this year's summer business as best as possible.
