In Belgium, trade unionists are currently concerned that Tuifly Belgium could reduce its presence at Charleroi Airport in the coming year. According to local media, the works council has already held an extraordinary meeting.

Among other things, the Belgian medium Sundinfo reports that Tuifly Belgium is to reduce the offer from Charleroi to the following destinations in summer 2023: Algiers/Oran (Algeria), Casablanca/Tangier (Morocco), Djerba/Tunis (Tunisia). All other destinations are to be relocated to Brussels, Liège and Antwerp. However, there is no official confirmation for this.

Nevertheless, the employee representatives are alarmed because they fear that there could be transfers and/or downsizing. Furthermore, a member of the works council explained that a list of questions had been repeatedly sent to the management regarding these "stubborn rumours", but that the questions were said to have remained unanswered. It is therefore necessary to await further developments.
