For almost ten years, the Australian airline Qantas did not offer direct flights between Sydney and Delhi. That changed now, because an Airbus A67 took off under the flight number QF330 - with a stopover in Adelaide.

In the future, Qantas planes will often be found in India, as a second route will soon be opened: Melbourne-Delhi. This route is to be operated four times a week from December 22, 2021. The Sydney-Delhi connection (via Adelaide) is currently in the program three times a week.

Qantas writes in a media statement that demand is said to be so high that many flights scheduled between Australia and India for December are already fully booked. Therefore, one wants to increase the Sydney-Delhi route in January 2022. Depending on the further development of demand, further routes and frequencies are conceivable.
