On Saturday, the Australian Qantas made a sightseeing flight over Australia with a Boeing 787-9. According to the carrier, there were 150 paying passengers on board. Due to the tough entry regulations, it is currently hardly possible to carry out international flights to / from Australia.
The long-haul jet took off in Sydney in the morning and flew over the continent for seven hours. The route was chosen so that many impressive sights could be admired. In order for the passengers to get something to see, the flight was partly flown to 4.000 feet. The tickets weren't exactly cheap, by the way: In economy, the cheapest ticket cost around 500 euros and in business class well over 2.000 euros.
