In the dispute between Airbus and Qatar Airways, there is a further escalation about the alleged quality defects in the A350 machine type: According to the Reuters news agency, the European aircraft manufacturer has canceled the orders for the 19 A350-1000s that have not yet been delivered.

Both Qatar Airways and Airbus initially declined to comment on the reporting. The Gulf carrier recently refused to take over other machines from the A350 series. A court in London ruled that these both lose and have to pay. The aircraft manufacturer also gave the former major customer one at the beginning of the year A321neo bulk order cancelled and meanwhile achieved that the Delivery slots may be reassigned.

Qatar Airways and Airbus are conducting several court cases against each other in London. In essence, it is about claims Quality defects on the A350. Airbus regards these as cosmetic defects with reference to an assessment by Easa. However, the Gulf carrier and the Qatar Aviation Authority see things differently.
