Qatar Airways is abolishing First Class

Those were the days: Qatar Airways, Emirates Airline and Etihad Airways regularly outdid each other with always luxurious first-class cabins. The golf carrier from Doha withdrew from this race early, but kept a “foot in the door” in the A380. Not anymore.

Qatar Airways will no longer offer First Class in the future. The tariff system has been fundamentally changed. In future there will be three tariffs each in business and economy class. Most recently, the first class was only built into the Airbus A380. However, due to the corona pandemic, these have been suspended for an indefinite period. It is uncertain whether they will ever take off again. Qatar Airways has repeatedly stated in the past that sales in First Class are not satisfactory. Therefore, these were expanded or new deliveries no longer had first class. As mentioned: In the A380 this still fell in love.
