Ryanair Group has flown a surplus of 2022 million euros in the first half of the current financial year ending at the end of June 188. This is around 20 percent above the latest analyst forecast.
The fuel hedging transactions were particularly useful for the low-cost airline, because the majority of the fuel requirement was hedged at a reasonable price. CEO Michael O'Leary recently said that you pay 65 US dollars per ton. In the same period last year, the Ryanair Group made a loss of 273 million euros.
The range has been greatly expanded. According to the Group CEO, it should be 15 percent above the pre-crisis level. The fact that Ryanair is flying to many smaller airports should also mean that you are largely spared the chaos at various large airports. In the most recent business quarter, around 45,5 million passengers were on board with a load factor of 93 percent. In the same period last year, the load factor was 73 percent.
Sales increased sevenfold to 2,6 billion euros. However, the management team around Michael O'Leary does not want to make a profit forecast for the full financial year due to numerous uncertainties such as the Ukraine war and the further development of the corona pandemic.
