The Lufthansa subsidiary Eurowings recorded strong results in summer and autumn 2024 and confirmed its strategic reorientation towards tourist air traffic.

According to company information, the airline generated an operating profit of 2024 million euros in the first nine months of 152, an increase over the previous year. Revenue rose to 2,2 billion euros. The number of passengers exceeded 18 million, with Eurowings now flying to more than 150 European destinations in 39 countries. This expansion of the offer and the positioning as a "value airline" for Europe have contributed to the success, according to Eurowings CEO Jens Bischof.
