From June 3, 2022, the Czech railway company Regiojet will again be operating a night train connection from Prague to Zagreb, Rijeka and Split. This will be offered seasonally until the end of September 2022. During the main travel season, i.e. in July and August 2022, you drive daily.
Trains run from Prague with intermediate stops in Kolin, Havlíčkův Brod, Žďár nad Sázavou, Brno – Židenice, Brno – hl.n., Breclav, Bratislava hl.st., Zagreb and Ogulin. Now the train is divided and one part goes to Split and the other to Rijeka. The cheapest tickets should be available from 44 euros.
For people from Austria who want to travel to Croatia with Regiojet night trains, we recommend boarding in Breclav. This is served, for example, from Vienna by the Austrian Federal Railways, Regiojet and Ceske Drahy. In this regard, attention should be drawn to a special feature that holders of the Austrian climate ticket should take into account. The ÖBB accept this up to the national border (railway German: "Breclav(Gr")), while Regiojet recognizes this up to and including the Breclav train station. To put it simply: a ticket must be purchased from ÖBB/CD for the short Czech section of the route. With Regiojet this is not necessary, but it is a reservation necessary.
