Regional bus line 270 makes it easier for travellers to access Salzburg Airport

The regional bus line 270, which was first introduced in 2024, will also connect travelers between Eben im Pongau and Salzburg Airport in the coming winter season. The line, which was set up specifically to relieve the traffic situation during the tunnel renovations on the A10 Tauern motorway, offers an important alternative for winter guests and commuters.

The connection starts on December 21, 2024 and will be offered every Saturday until April 19, 2025. The bus stops at Salzburg Central Station, the airport and the park-and-ride car park in Eben. From there, hotels can pick up their guests without having to drive into the city of Salzburg.

Despite the construction work on the A10, which will last until June 2025, the bus line ensures a scheduled travel time of around 70 minutes between the airport and Eben thanks to the use of the hard shoulder and the prioritization of regular buses.

Salzburg Airport asks travelers, especially those returning, to allow sufficient time for their journey, as check-in deadlines must be strictly adhered to. The measure is part of a mobility concept that is being developed under the "Airport 4.0" project and focuses on efficient transport connections for passengers, employees and the population.
