The modernized sales area in the departure terminal at Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden Airport (FKB) was officially opened last week.

Travelers can purchase a wide range of duty-free products, snacks and drinks there. For flights to non-EU countries or the Canary Islands, tax-free purchases of spirits, tobacco products and sparkling wines are still possible.

The sales area of the new duty-free store, operated by Rheinmünster-based Atmax GmbH, was reduced to 150 square meters after renovation work. At the same time, the area was redesigned to create more seats and a more open design of the waiting areas. The aim was to improve the quality of the passengers' stay. The airport, which recorded almost 2023 million passengers in 1,73, continues to focus on short distances and optimized infrastructure. In addition to the new duty-free offering, the airport also offers other services such as a range of restaurants, WiFi, and facilities for families and animals.
