RheinEnergie AG and Infosys have launched a partnership on the German energy market. The aim is to develop an intelligent digital energy platform that supports companies in the industrial and real estate sectors in optimizing their energy supply. The pilot project for this platform is being carried out at Cologne/Bonn Airport in order to make the energy and heat supply there more efficient and reduce emissions.

As part of the cooperation, Infosys will support RheinEnergie and its customers in using the digital platform. This helps companies to reduce their energy costs, increase energy efficiency and achieve their sustainability goals. By using technologies such as cloud, artificial intelligence and Industry 4.0, energy consumption, generation and energy markets are networked, enabling companies to manage their energy flows efficiently. Cologne/Bonn Airport, a long-standing partner of RheinEnergie, is already using these solutions to reduce CO2 emissions and achieve a climate-neutral heat supply by 2045.
