The German armaments group Rheinmetall, Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman have signed an agreement to manufacture fuselage parts for the F35 fighter jets. This includes, among other things, that some components are to be manufactured in Germany.

An integrated assembly line for F-35 fuselage parts is to be built at Rheinmetall. This is intended to increase the European share of this type of fighter jet. A media release also states that the new cooperation between the three companies would underline Rheinmetall's importance in terms of security policy.
