The corona crisis is leaving deep marks in the finances of the British company. In order not to have to accept further losses, the management is currently negotiating with employee representatives about possible cost reductions. A two-week shutdown of production is also brought into play. Rolls-Royce expects it to save wages in the double-digit million range as well as running costs. This is the only way for the aircraft supplier to get through the crisis lightly, as the aviation portal Aero reports. This affects almost 19.000 employees. "We are proposing a two-week shutdown in the summer," said a company statement.
