The young airline Legend Airlines has received AOC approval for the Airbus A340 machine type from the Romanian Civil Aviation Authority. The four-radiator with the registration YR-LRC may now be used for passenger and cargo flights.

The start-up's first aircraft has the serial number 844 and was previously in service with Air Belgium. Extensive maintenance work was carried out at Amman Airport prior to registration in Romania.

Legend Airlines will shortly receive another Airbus A340-300 with the future YR-LRB. This was also previously used by Air Belgium. Both aircraft are leased from Airbus Financial Services.

Legend Airlines said it plans to start operations in the near future. Permits are held for carrying out passenger and cargo flights. The AOC and the operating license were granted by the Romanian Civil Aviation Authority.
