Austria has now also landed on the “red list” in Romania. As a result, passengers coming from the Alpine republic have to be in quarantine for 14 days from Wednesday. A PCR test can be carried out on the eighth day at the earliest and if it turns out negative, the isolation can be terminated on the tenth day.
Romania grants an exception for short travelers - probably also for tourism reasons and due to home visits: If you do not stay longer than three days, it is sufficient to present a negative PCR test, which must not be older than 48 hours. Conversely, Austria has viewed Romania as a risk area since the summer.
