The Romanian airline Dan Air, formerly known as Just Us Air, plans to enter scheduled business from June 2023. Initially, 12 routes are to be included from Bucharest. In addition, the services will also be offered from Brașov.
Starting June 15, 2023, Dan Air intends to gradually add destinations to Munich, Nuremberg, Stuttgart, Barcelona, Brussels, Budapest, London-Gatwick and Milan-Linate from the latter airport. Depending on the destination, the destinations should be headed for between once and twice a week. It should go to Munich on Saturdays. Nuremberg and Stuttgart are to be connected to Brasov on Thursdays.
From Bucharest, Dan Air will serve the destinations Berlin, Munich, Stuttgart, Nuremberg, Beirut, Brussels, Budapest, London-Gatwick, Rome-Fiumicino, Milan-Linate and Tel Aviv. Depending on the destination, one to two weekly rotations are planned. It should go to Berlin on Wednesday, Munich on Saturday and Nuremberg and Stuttgart on Thursday.
Medium-haul jets of the Airbus A320 type are to be used as the machine type. On board they want to offer 162 seats in economy class and 12 in business class. Dan Air was founded in 2017 under the name Just Us Air. So far, it has been active as a charter and ACMI provider. So far, there have been no scheduled flights on your own account. That should change in June 2023 and can also be understood as a reaction to gaps left by the no longer active low-cost airline Blue Air.
The Romanian airline's fleet currently consists of three Airbus A320s, registered YR-DSE, YR-JUL and YR-RAM. There is also an A319 registered as YR-URS. The name "Dan Air" has nothing to do with the former British airline, but is derived from the first name of the company's founder, flight captain Dan Iuhas.
