A new carrier is launched in Romania under the Legend Airlines brand name. This will use Airbus A340-300 long-haul aircraft. The first unit was entered into the local register as YR-LRC last week.

The young airline's first machine has the serial number 844 and was previously in service with Air Belgium. Maintenance work is currently being carried out at Amman Airport. The four-radiator is then to be transferred to Romania.

Legend Airlines has already secured another Airbus A340-300 from ex-Air Belgium stocks. It is the machine with the MSN 921, which is to be registered as YR-LRB. Both aircraft are leased from Airbus Financial Services. It is currently planned to expand the fleet to four long-haul aircraft of this type.

The aviation company is still extremely cautious about the future business model. They only explain that they want to establish long-haul flights from Romania. However, questions as to whether it will be scheduled or charter flights are not addressed. The registration of the YR-LRC is a first from the Romanian point of view, because for the first time you have an Airbus A340-300 in the local register.
