In Russia, a damaged Sukhoi Superjet SSJ-100 is currently being auctioned for around one million US dollars. The machine is unable to fly and can no longer be repaired. It is the Yakutia Airlines superjet that was written off as a total write-off in 2018 after an accident.

Anyone who wants to put a Superjet in the garden or want to open a restaurant could get their money's worth. However, removal is not included in the auction price. It is also not clear from the documents what has so far been cannibalized for the production of spare parts.

The affected Sukhoi SSJ-100 was delivered to Yakutia Airlines in 2012 and suffered a landing accident in October 2018. The landing gear collapsed and fuel leaked. At first glance, the RA-89011 could possibly have been repaired, but the investigations showed that the structural damage is too severe. Therefore, the regional jet was written off as a total write-off.
