From March 28, 2021, the Irish low-cost airline plans to add Lisbon to a new destination from Cologne / Bonn. The route is to be operated seasonally until at least the end of October 2021. On the other hand, the group withdrew from nearby Düsseldorf. The subsidiary Laudamotion gave notice to all German employees.

“We are pleased to announce a new Cologne / Bonn route to Lisbon, which will begin on March 28, 2021 and offer two weekly flights as part of our 2021 summer flight schedule. Customers can now book flights from Cologne to Lisbon until October 2021. To celebrate this new Lisbon route, we are launching a seat sale with fares from just € 19,99 for trips from March 28th to the end of June 2021, which can be booked until midnight on Saturday (October 31st). As these amazingly low fares will sell out quickly, customers should quickly log on to www.ryanair.com so as not to miss anything, ”said Jason McGuinness, Director of Commercial at Ryanair.
