The Ryanair subsidiary Lauda Europe will be operating a number of first flights from the Zagreb base in the next few days. This overtakes the competitor Croatia Airlines in terms of the number of destinations as well as in terms of capacity and weekly frequencies.
The flight is under flight numbers from Ryanair, but aircraft of the type Airbus A320 from Lauda Europe are stationed in Zagreb. Gradually, the offer has been increased from the Croatian capital. Initially, the destinations Charleroi, Bergamo, London-Stansted, Gothenburg, Rome-Ciampino and Sofia were added between June and August 2021.
In the second wave, the destinations Sandefjord, Karlsruhe / Baden-Baden, Beauvais, Frankfurt-Hahn, Memmingen, Dortmund, Weeze, Podgorica and Malmö followed at the beginning of September 2021. Three Airbus A320 aircraft are stationed on site. However, not all destinations are served by aircraft from Lauda Europe, as some routes are served from other bases by Ryanar, Buzz and Malta Air.
In what is now the third wave, the destinations Malaga, Manchester, Dublin, Thessaloniki, Paphos, Eindhoven, Basel, Luqa (Malta) and Naples will be added from Zagreb between December 1 and 17, 2021.
Lauda Europe currently has Airbus jets with the registrations 9H-LOW, 9H-LMI and 9H-LOP stationed in Zagreb. For the summer flight schedule of 2022, Ryanair intends to expand further in Zagreb, which should lead to the stationing of additional A320s. However, the planned fourth wave of expansion is still keeping a low profile with regard to the flight destinations.
