The USO and Sictpla unions have so far been unable to reach an agreement with Ryanair management. Therefore, the employee representatives announce 12 more strike days. These fall in the main travel season and primarily affect cabin crew.

However, the last calls for work stoppages showed that the willingness in Spain was much lower than in Belgium, for example. Around 65 percent of the planned Ryanair flights from Charleroi and Brussels were canceled during the strike days. In Spain, the proportion of flight cancellations was in the single-digit percentage range, with the reason for the cancellation in some cases being the ATC strike in Marseille.

The two Spanish unions have now announced that work stoppages will be called on the following days in July 2022: 12-15, 18-21 and and 25.-28. July 2022. The call affects all ten Spanish bases of the Ryanair Group. The low-cost airline is relaxed and points out that participation in the previous strikes would have been low. The impact on flight operations is expected to be minimal.
