The Irish low-cost airline Ryanair is now countering the Austrian Airlines flightcast with its own podcast. The carrier now wants to provide weekly information on current topics from the company, business and aviation under the brand “Inside Ryanair”.

It is a little unclear whether Ryanair will also use the new product as an advertising medium or report neutrally. The carrier writes in a media statement that they want to "answer frequently asked questions about Ryanair once and for all". This could indicate in which direction “Inside Ryanair” could go. The first episode features an interview with company boss Eddie Wilson.

"We are excited to launch Inside Ryanair. We want to give people an insight into some of the most pressing issues facing the industry, address frequently asked questions about Ryanair and talk about topics that are in the media and of interest to us and the industry. This is a free podcast, so pick your favourite spot, sit back, relax and enjoy the insights via Apple, Spotify & Google Podcast Stores. Ryanair welcomes feedback, let us know what you think via the podcast on Twitter, Facebook or the streaming channel of your choice," explains Ryanair Manager Dara Brady.
