The Irish low-cost airline Ryanair is offering a 1 + 1 free promotion on Black Friday. This can be booked for trips from December 1, 2020 to March 27, 2021. When booking a ticket for two travelers, you only have to pay for one person. The competitor Wizzair is also offering various promotions this week, for example a 30 percent discount.

Ryanair argues that with this promotion it is possible for an accompanying person to fly home or on vacation for free at Christmas. The promotion ends on Friday at midnight. According to the press release, all routes are covered by the promotion.

“We are launching this 'Buy One Get One Free' offer with a large number of available routes and just in time for travel planning for Christmas. Book flights for trips from December 1, 2020 to March 27, 2021 on 1.700 routes and receive a second ticket for the same flight free of charge. Customers can book this top offer for the most popular holiday and city travel destinations across Europe and take their family or close friends with them on their well-deserved autumn or winter vacation. To take advantage of this offer, customers need to be quick and book their flights on Ryanair.com by midnight tomorrow evening, November 27th, ”said Dara Brady, Ryanair's Marketing Director.
