Salzburg Airport presents winter flight plan

After an economically successful summer season, Salzburg Airport presented its program for the winter. The flight program takes travelers to 19 countries. The connections to Paris and Brussels are new.

If you want to escape the cold, you can fly once a week from Salzburg to Gran Canaria or Tenerife. Hurghada is even served four times a week. Dubai, Istanbul and Larnaca are also on the flight schedules from Salzburg. Short breaks and city trips are also not neglected: the airline Transavia connects the Netherlands with Salzburg Airport. There are daily direct flights to Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Eindhoven. The headquarters of the European Union, Brussels, will be served for the first time (twice a week) this winter. In addition, Air France will be flying from Salzburg to Paris again from December 10th.

Scandinavia Airlines, Norwegian and Eurowings fly to Scandinavia several times a week. Copenhagen, Stockholm, Oslo and Helsinki are served several times a week. The Latvian metropolis of Riga and the Estonian city of Tallinn can also be visited once a week with Air Baltic. The flight program is rounded off with Icelandair and Fly Play to Reykjavik. In addition to London City, SZG will also serve Gatwick, Heathrow and Stansted airports in London this winter. Other UK destinations include Birmingham, Bristol, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Leeds, Liverpool, Luton, Manchester, Newcastle and Southampton. Ireland and Northern Ireland are also on the program with Dublin and Belfast.

Salzburg's largest market: Germany

Traditionally, most of the guests for EuRegio Salzburg-Bayern come to Salzburg via German airports. Berlin, Düsseldorf, Hamburg and Cologne are served by Eurowings, Frankfurt (up to four times a day with Lufthansa) and Lübeck Air also flies to Lübeck once a week.

"We hope for a winter season without travel restrictions and are happy about our destinations from Salzburg to 19 countries. The EuRegio Salzburg-Bayern looks forward to the guests who spend their winter holidays in Salzburg and the neighboring regions. Via our international hub connections such as Amsterdam, Belgrade, Dubai, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Istanbul, London - now also via Paris - our passengers can reach travel destinations all over the world with short transfer times," says Airport Managing Director Bettina Ganghofer.
