Salzburg Airport is now connected to Istanbul and Hamburg again. The airport sees the comeback of Turkish Airlines and the resumption by Eurowings as a clear streak of light on the horizon.

Authorized representative Christopher Losmann: “Finally the airlines are finally coming back to Salzburg. While it was our holiday destinations in the last few weeks, our hub and city connections are now starting up again. As of today there are direct flights to Istanbul again 10 times a week and Hamburg 4 times a week ”.

The updated entry regulation, which enables vaccinated, recovered and tested people from significantly more countries to enter the country without quarantine, is seen as positive at Salzburg Airport. It is assumed that this will "do very well" for tourism in Austria and the EU.

“The adjustment of the entry regulations makes it easier for passengers from third countries, such as Saudi Arabia or Turkey, to come back to Austria and, conversely, business travel destinations will be filled with life again. Now it's full speed ahead for us and for the people of Salzburg and Bavaria: book your flights and fly from Salzburg, ”said Losmann.
