Salzburg Airport sees itself well positioned for the main travel season and is of the opinion that the last "staff gaps" can be filled at the moment. It is hoped that "operational clearances can be presented without major delays". However, one is not spared from problems that arise at other airports.

At the same time, Salzburg Airport is celebrating the one-year presence of the providers Transavia, Flydubai and Flynas. The first two airlines mentioned fly to Austria's second largest airport all year round. The Saudi Arabian low cost airline offers Riyadh and Jeddah seasonally during the summer time.

Transavia's Amsterdam connection enables connection to the Schiphol hub, where, among other things, transfers to other flights of this carrier, but also to those of KLM and its Skyteam partners are possible. The Flydubai route to Dubai can also be used to transfer to the route network of sister company Emirates Airline.

In addition, Salzburg Airport has a wide range of destinations on offer in summer - holiday destinations such as the Greek islands of Crete, Karpathos or Zakynthos, Antalya in Turkey or the Mediterranean islands of Sardinia, Mallorca and Corsica invite you to a bathing and adventure holiday. The new connection to Belgrade or the classic routes to Istanbul and London are just as exciting destinations for a city holiday. Destinations in Europe such as Athens, Thessaloniki, Dubrovnik or Split can also be reached with Air Serbia via Belgrade, and the entire transfer network of Turkish Airlines is available via Istanbul.
