In the forthcoming 2022 summer timetable period, Salzburg Airport can once again offer a wide range of vacation options. Classics like Greece are back in focus, but there are also a few small news.

The destination Heraklion is offered by the airlines Corendon Europe and Eurowings, so that this year passengers again have two carriers to choose from. The Lufthansa subsidiary also serves Rhodes. On behalf of tour operators such as Tui, they also fly to Karpathos, Kos, Corfu and Zakynthos. The Corsica professional Rhomberg Reisen has launched another Greek destination once a week in addition to Calvi - Lefkas (Preveza).

Palma de Mallorca will be served daily in the 2022 summer timetable until mid-October 2022. Twice a week there are also trips to the second largest island in the Mediterranean, Sardinia (Olbia) and once a week to Calabria (Lamezia Terme). Larnaka (Cyprus) is offered once a week this year.

This year, Corendon Airlines will operate two weekly rotations to Antalya in Turkey. In cooperation with the tour operators ETI, Tui and FTI, Eurowings will fly to Hurghada in Egypt twice a week. The destinations Tenerife and Gran Canaria will be extended this year until mid-May 2022. In the past, these ended around Easter at the latest.

Star Alliance member Turkish Airlines plans to offer up to two daily Istanbul rotations in the 2022 summer period. The Ordu destination is offered once a week from Salzburg this year. The Emirates sister company Flydubai is planning up to six weekly rotations to Dubai, where transfers to Emirates are possible.

In the direction of Germany, Eurowings flies to Berlin, Düsseldorf, Hamburg and Cologne. The Lübeck-Air route to Lübeck, which was added last year, will be offered again this year. Some Embraer 190 regional jets operated by German Airways are used.

Ryanair also has flights to London Stansted and Transavia flies twice a week to Amsterdam. This allows for transfers to Skyteam connections from KLM and its partners. Air Serbia will no longer be offering the Serbian Nis this year, but three weekly flights to Belgrade will be offered as a replacement. Lufthansa will offer up to four daily flights to Frankfurt am Main.

Flynas plans to offer three weekly flights to Riyadh from May 2, 2022. You want to fly on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Destination Jeddah is scheduled to be offered three times a week from June 2, 2022. The flight days are Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
