Winter business has traditionally been particularly important for Salzburg Airport. In the past season, due to the corona pandemic, the company suffered a de facto total failure. Now airlines are gradually announcing their "winter sports comeback". So does Tui Airways UK.

From December 20, 2021, this carrier will operate a non-stop connection between East Midlands and the city of Mozart. For the time being, a weekly cycle is planned. Since this is a seasonal route, it should be served until February 26, 2021. Competitor British Airways announced flights from Southampton and London City to Salzburg.

Vienna: AUA increases Leipzig triangle

In Vienna, Austrian Airlines is increasing the number of passengers on the Vienna-Leipzig route, which continues with a stopover in Nuremberg. From September 15, 2021, the triangle will be served eight times a week instead of six. The inner-German section between Nuremberg and Leipzig can still not be booked stand-alone.

Austrian Airlines has repeatedly merged routes in the wake of the corona pandemic. Hamburg was served temporarily with a stopover in Berlin-Brandenburg and there was a stopover in Munich on individual Stuttgart circuits. All that remains is Vienna-Nuremberg-Leipzig-Vienna.
