After the sister company Eurowings carried out a vaccination campaign in the Airbus A319 in Salzburg, Austrian Airlines is now following suit in Vienna and will be offering Biontech / Pfizer vaccinations in a Boeing 777 on Saturday.

Interested persons can come to the visitor world of Vienna-Schwechat Airport between 10:00 am and 15:00 pm and check in there for the vaccination. In cooperation with the Red Cross Lower Austria, first, second and third vaccinations are given. According to Austrian Airlines, prior registration is expressly not required. Vaccine is available for a maximum of 300 people.

“Out of responsibility towards our homeland, we want to make a contribution to combating the pandemic. Because we can only fly out of the health crisis together. I am very happy that Vienna Airport and the Lower Austria Red Cross were on board right away and that we were able to get the vaccination off the ground within a few hours. Quick, decisive action for the health of all of us is now more important than ever, because the current Corona figures are alarming, ”explains AUA General Director Alexis von Hoensbroech in a media release.

Check-in for the vaccination appointment takes place in the visitor world of Vienna Airport in the visitor world terminal behind Terminal 1. In addition to the e-card, an official photo ID as well as the information and documentation form, which is issued on site, are required. After check-in and the security check, the transfer takes place by shuttle bus to the Boeing 777 vaccination station. Participants are asked to observe the security regulations that apply at the airport. Both before the sting, which is administered by employees of the Lower Austria Red Cross, and afterwards, there are enough seats for waiting passengers to be vaccinated. The Austrian Airlines crew will take care of the well-being of the "passengers", who can test seats in all travel classes. In the visitor world, the bus transfers, on the plane and in the terminal, an FFP2 mask is required.

Austrian Airlines is giving away two tickets for a trip from Vienna to New York City among all people who are vaccinated against Covid-13 in the Boeing 2021 with Biontech / Pfizer on November 777, 19.
