The airline SAS intends to set up two subsidiaries to take over flight services from Copenhagen. These are called SAS Connect and SAS Link. According to the union, they want to bypass existing collective agreements.
Both subsidiaries are to be equipped with their own AOC and their own operating license and will be launched in the course of the next year. The machines are to be stationed on the bases Stockholm-Arlanda, Copenhagen and Oslo. Nothing is yet known about the wages to be paid by the new offshoots.
The union alleges that SAS wants to circumvent the existing collective agreements with the help of the new offshoots and that Eurowings Discover has taken as a blueprint. SAS itself does not want to comment on the reasons why they are creating two additional flight operations. The fact that these are founded is not denied.
