Effective October 30, 2022, Saudi Arabian Airlines is increasing capacity on the Riyadh-Zurich route. Airbus A330 long-haul aircraft are used temporarily. These have 330 seats.

For the time being, widebody use is limited to January 1, 2023. The machines are to be used on the traffic days Wednesday and Friday on the course pair SV235/234. Outbound flights depart from Riyadh at 8:35 am and arrive in the Swiss city at around 13:45 pm. Return flights leave Zurich at 15:00 pm and arrive in Saudi Arabia at 22:55 pm.

So far, Saudia has mostly used Airbus A320 medium-haul jets on this route. These have 110 seats in two classes of transport. A decision has not yet been made on a possible continuation of operation with widebodies. This is likely to depend primarily on the further development of demand.
