Scottish regional airline Loganair could soon be sold as the previous owners have decided to pull out of the business. The current aim is for the sale to be completed by around mid-2023.

For reasons of age, Stephen and Peter Bond want to say goodbye to aviation. Therefore, Loganair is looking for a buyer. A consultant has already been commissioned to assist in the search for a suitable investor or buyer. Managing Director Jonathan Hinkles confirmed this.

The current aim is for Loganair to be handed over to new owners by mid-2023. It is still completely unknown to whom the carrier should go. According to the airline, the sales process is in an early phase of market evaluation. Interested parties are promised a profitable regional airline that has already repaid all Covid 19 debts ahead of schedule. Stephen and Peter Bond want to hand over the carrier to their successors in an orderly manner. According to official information, there is no financial need for the sale. The withdrawal was due to age reasons.

The two brothers joined Loganair in 1997, which had long been active as a franchisee under the Flybe brand. Gradually, the company was completely taken over. The two bonds have been the sole owners of the Scottish regional airline since 2012. According to CH-Aviation.com, the fleet currently consists of 44 machines. It operates ATR72, ATR42, Saab 340, Embraer ERJ-145, de Havilland DHC-6 Twin Otter and Britten-Norman BN-2 Islander. In the past there were also numerous other models, including Embraer ERJ-135 and Saab 2000.
