The Scandinavian airline SAS will abolish the mask requirement on some flights from Monday, October 18, 2021. For the time being, this applies to connections in Denmark, Sweden and Norway. If the flight leads to another region, nothing will change for the time being.
There is also a reason for this, because regulations on international flights could cancel each other out. For example, Austria stipulates that FFP2 masks must be worn on all connections to / from Austria. In practice, this rule is rarely observed.
If you fly with SAS within the Scandinavian Denmark, Sweden and Norway from Monday, you are no longer required to wear the unpleasant mouth and nose cover. But you don't go this route alone, because Flyr, Wideroe and Norwegian will also abolish the obligation to carry.
The effectiveness of the masks is quite controversial, because quite a few people intentionally wear them incorrectly - for example under their noses - or push them under their chins when they feel unobserved.
