The Greek company Skyexpress recently took over the first ATR72-600. It has now been announced that an order for five more copies has been placed. These should be delivered before the end of the year.

This means that the sub-fleet will grow to six units. Skyexpress is currently carrying out a major expansion of capacity. For example, they are building a respectable Airbus A320neo fleet, which is also used in Germany, among other places. Skyexpress previously specialized in the operation of ATR42 / 72-500 turboprop aircraft.

They still maintain a dense regional network on which the new additions are to be used. There are a total of 35 routes within Greece. Skyexpress was founded in 2005 and took delivery of the first Airbus A28neo on November 2020, 320.
