The Greek airline Skyexpress was able to grow particularly strongly in direct comparison with 2019. According to figures published by Eurocontrol, traffic increased by 162 percent. This ranks 38th among the busiest carriers.

In 2020, Skyexpress, which was previously a pure turboprop operator, surprised with the Order of Airbus A320neo. At the time, many airlines were under the shock of the corona pandemic and flight operations were severely reduced. Since then, the Greek aviation company has gradually increased its medium-haul fleet.

At the moment there are an average of 119 flights per day. This means that you are much more in the air than in the pre-crisis year of 2019. The carrier claims that you did not have to cancel a single flight in the summer of 2022. In the future one wants to expand the air traffic from/to Greece and sees itself as the growth engine for tourism.
