Skyscanner sees strong increase in Australian demand

Immediately after the announcement that Australia will be largely open to fully vaccinated tourists in February 2022, the Skyscanner portal saw a sharp increase in demand for flight tickets to Down Under.

On February 7, 2022, the site had 192 percent more bookings from Germany to Australia than the day before. The destinations Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane were booked most frequently. Skyscanner also claims that economy class prices in March 2022 will be a third lower on average than in the same period in 2019.
