Munich Airport was once again able to win the title “Best Airport in Europe” at this year's Skytax Awards. Germany’s second largest airport takes sixth place in the global ranking.

"This enormous appreciation strengthens us in mastering the currently difficult situation and is at the same time a great motivation to work so that our airport can soon take a top position among the hub airports again in terms of passenger traffic," said Munich boss Jost Lammers.

At this year's awards, the best airport in the world is Doha Hamad Airport ahead of Tokyo Haneda Airport and Singapore Changi in third place. The “World Airport Awards” was based on a global survey of passengers from more than 3 countries. They participated in the survey from August 100 to July 2020 and assessed around 2021 airports. Another remarkable series of awards continues for Munich Airport: This is the 500th time in the last 14 years that the airport has been recognized as “Best Airport in Europe”.
