The low-cost airline SkyUp plans to fly between Kiev-Borispil and Salzburg from December 26, 2021. The seasonal route is primarily aimed at skiers who want to spend their winter holidays in Austria.

Up to and including January 9, 2022, flights are to be flown on Sundays. As of January 15, 2022, the traffic day will be Saturday. For the time being, the flights can be booked until February 19, 2022. An extension is possible - depending on demand.

The competitor Wizz Air announced the start of a connection from Salzburg to Kiev-Schuljany in the summer of last year. It should have been flown since September 2020, but the recording has been postponed several times. The first flight is currently planned on April 1, 2022.

SkyUp had announced a major expansion towards Germany for the summer flight schedule of 2021. This was not implemented because all routes that were temporarily bookable had been canceled again. Borispil-Berlin is now being announced with two circulations per week for March 4, 2022.
