Ukrainian low-cost airline SkyUp Airlines has been operating a number of charter flights on behalf of charities and foundations in recent days. Among other things, relief supplies and paramedics were brought near Ukraine. For security reasons, only airports outside of the war-affected country are used.

In addition, around 100 doctors were brought from Chisinau to Stockholm. Among them are 40 doctors who come from the war zone and accompany rehabilitation measures carried out in Sweden. The Boeing 737, which is provided with the United24 special sticker, was used. 96 Ukrainians were also helped to get to Portugal to apply for temporary asylum there.

Returning from the Portuguese capital, our plane also came loaded with generators, medicines and other essentials. The flight arrived in Chisinau, and all items were later transported to Ukraine. “As a Ukrainian airline, it is important for us to remain useful to our home country. That is why we are always open to partnerships with national and international organizations looking for passenger or cargo transportation to the airports near the Ukrainian border,” says Dmytro Syeroukhov, CEO of SkyUp.
