Skyup MT puts scheduled flight plans on hold

Advertising

Contrary to previous announcements, Skyup does not want to enter into scheduled business on its own account with its Maltese subsidiary for the time being.

During the certification phase of Skyup MT, the group repeatedly announced that it would operate as a low-cost provider wants to operate numerous routes on its own account. At no point were specific routes mentioned, but it was vaguely suggested that stationing aircraft in Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, the Baltics and other countries would be conceivable.

Nothing has happened in this direction to date, as both the Ukrainian Skyup and its Malta branch continue to only operate charter flights and provide ACMI services. According to a report from CH-Aviation.com, it should stay that way because the scheduled flight plans have been shelved. The project is not completely finished, but there is currently no schedule. It could also possibly be due to the fact that demand in the charter and wet lease areas is also very high this summer.
