The Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer was able to land an order for 16 E175s. The US regional airline Skywest will receive these from mid-2022.

For Embraer it is the first major order after a long period of drought. The order is valued at list prices, according to a press release, at $ 798,4 million. Among other things, the buyer is on the road for Delta Airlines. Therefore, the 16 E175 will also be delivered in the colors of the largest airline in the United States of America.

The Regio-Carrier announced that the 16 new additions will replace an equal number of Bombardier CRJ-900s owned by Skywest. The machines are delivered with 70 seats. They are currently flying 71 Embraer 175s on behalf of Delta Air Lines.

Skywest's fleet currently consists of 561 aircraft and is composed as follows: 184 Bombardier CRJ-200ER, 12 CRJ-200LR, 60 CRJ-701, 39 CRJ-701ER, 23 CRJ-702, 6 CRJ-702ER, 44 CRJ- 900LR, 44 Embraer 175LL and 149 E175LR.
