Workplace, chill-out lounge or fully equipped sleeping area - a new service at Vienna Airport creates even more comfort for passengers: In Terminal 3, travelers can rent sleeping cabins from the Italian start-up Zzzleepandgo.

The total of 16 "Smart Lounges" each offer a 3m² place to work, relax or spend the night. The sleeping cabins are equipped with a lying area, power and USB connections, free WiFi, as well as storage space and a fold-out table. In addition, all cabins have a multimedia entertainment system with which films and music can be streamed and ventilation, lights and blackout curtains can be controlled. The Smart Lounges from Zzzleepandgo can be booked by the hour or day in advance via the website or on site.

“We are now offering all travelers a new and convenient range of services in the terminal: passengers with a longer stay at the airport can now bridge the waiting time relaxed and in peace in a modern sleeping cabin from Zzzleepandgo. With the start of the summer flight schedule, the number of travelers at Vienna Airport will also increase significantly and we will be happy if more passengers then convince themselves of the advantages of the Zzzleepandgo offer,” says Julian Jäger, CEO of Flughafen Wien AG.

The 3 smart lounges are available in the public area of Terminal 2 on level 16. Check-in is easy: Guests register directly at the sleeping cabin of their choice in a virtual reception using a touchpad and read in their passport, credit card and, if required, their COVID-19 certificate and the door to the Smart opens lounge. The cabin can be left and re-entered without restriction during the rental period. All cabins are cleaned and disinfected after each completed rental process, the Smart Lounges also have an automatic ventilation system that filters bacteria and viruses from the air. The costs are € 9 per hour, but the sleeping cabin can also be booked for a whole night (from € 48) or longer, payment is only made at check-out.
