The Slovak government is nailing it.
Slovakia will tighten its border policy from Monday next week. According to a government decision, all persons entering from abroad will have to undergo a 14-day quarantine, Health Minister Marek Krajci announced today in Bratislava. And all of them without exception - including people who arrive from “safe countries”, says Krajci. From Monday, state facilities will also be offered where immigrants can spend their isolation time. The quarantine can be ended on the eighth day at the earliest with a negative test result, according to the ORF. Krajci warned that the rules could be made even stricter should the situation so require. A purely mandatory state quarantine is also an option. Only commuters are largely spared from these drastic measures. It appears that they will still need a negative Covid-19 test no older than seven days to enter the country.
