With the 9H-ETA, the Smartlynx Malta airline has taken delivery of another medium-haul Boeing 737-Max-8 jet. The machine was transferred to Luqa via Keflavik at the weekend.

Like many Smartlynx aircraft, this Boeing 737-Max-8 is all white. After the 9H-CHI and the 9H-ORN, this is the third unit of this type to be registered on the Maltese AOC.

It is not a new machine, but a used aircraft that is around four years old. It was originally delivered to Eastar Jet, where it was registered HL8340. The South Korean low-cost airline returned this aircraft to the lessor at the end of 2021. The new lessee is now Smartlynx Malta.
