An Airbus A330-343 taken over by Air Asia has arrived at Smartlynx Malta. This continues to wear the basic paintwork of the former operator.

The long-haul aircraft was registered 9H-SMI and was transferred from Birmingham to Luqa, Malta on Monday. The Smartlynx Group bundles the cargo activities at the Maltese subsidiary. For example, the machine type is operated on behalf of DHL Airbus A321F. Last year you also have brought in the first widebody.

It is currently still open whether Smartlynx Malta will repaint the 9H-SMI or just attach stickers to the red and white Air Asia base paint. In the cargo area, it is not uncommon for expensive colors to be dispensed with.
